Performer’s Terms & Conditions

THE MALAYSIAN SALSA FESTIVAL 2008
("EVENT")

The main objective of these guidelines is to ensure the smooth running of the Event and the safety of the Performers.
Your kind co-operation is greatly appreciated.
All performers are requested to read the guidelines below carefully.

1.
Evening Shows
All participants are invited to take part in evening shows. Shows will be held at (Resort) on 26 June and 29 June 2007. Linline Sdn. Bhd. ("Organiser") reserves the right to assign the day, time and sequence of performances.
2.

Format of Shows & Name
You can choose to perform as:-

  • an individual (1 dancer);
  • a couple (2 dancers); or
  • a team (maximum of 10 dancers).

If we notice during rehearsal that the number of performers exceeds 10, the Organiser may request that the excess number of performers do not to perform for safety reasons.
There is no restriction as to the age or gender mix of dancers. However, performers who are under the age of 16 must be supervised by an adult.
Kindly inform us of your stage-name, nickname or the name of your team which you prefer us to use in introducing you.

3.
Team Director
Each couple and team must nominate 1 person as the team director ("Team Director"). Team Directors must be at least 18 years old. (If you are appointed as a non-performing Team Director to supervise underage performers, please inform us upfront).
Team Directors shall be responsible for the entire team and shall ensure that all members of the team adhere strictly to these guidelines.
To ensure a clear communication channel, your Team Directors will also act as the liaison person for your team (contact Lin Hamid at +60-12-318-1202 or msfadmin@linline.com.my) regarding any and all matters on performances. Any communication from us regarding your performance will also be addressed directly to your Team Directors only.
4.

Benefits
Confirmed performers will enjoy a special discount on the price of the Full Package (subject to the limitation below)! Please refer to our website for further details on the discounted rate for confirmed performers. To be eligible for the Performers' Rate:-

  • your name must be included in the list submitted to the Organiser;
  • you must actually be performing at least 50% of the routine (if it appears to us during rehearsal that any performer do not fulfill this condition, the discounted Performers' Rate may be revoked with regard to such person.)

All other members of your entourage (e.g. make-up artist, wardrobe assistants, etc) participating in the Event will have to pay the normal rate.
For participants who have already registered earlier but would now like to perform, the relevant Performers' Rate as at the date of your earlier registration will apply. Any difference in the amount payable will be refunded to you (if the full amount has already been received by us).
Team Directors, who are not performing and are only appointed to supervise underage performers, will not be entitled to the discounted Performer Rate.
