Fasilito aka “Salsa Spirit”, founder of the Dance Spirit Company, choreographer for Bailanismo! is well- known as Malaysia's first Salsa dance instructor who started way back in the early 90's when South American dances were first introduced in the KL city. In 1988, instead of reporting to his first soccer training with one major corporate company, he turned his way to a spontaneous dance trial and ended up later representing Malaysia in various parts of the world in the Dance Folklores Festival from 1988-1992.

The moment he found Salsa, the rest became history. Fasilito has been performing & teaching Salsa since 1985, both locally and internationally. His classic routine of teaching and innovation is enriched by his dance disciplines and experiences in the Malay folklore and Classical, Modern & Contemporary.

With the knowledge and adeptness to combine his god-given, natural talent with the predefined form, technique and innovation, he has thus created his own flavour and elegant style for which he is well known. Sharing his dance spirit passion by training new students through his encouragement, motivation and consistency, his school has made a great victory impact when his "Salsa Spirit Project 2005" students won most titles in 2005 Salsa competitions. His latest appearance on air was as a Guest Instructor for Salsa and Mambo alongside instructor Pat Calzadilla for the Malaysian version of "So You Think You Can Dance". In the recent Malaysia World Latin Salsa Congress 2007, he teamed up with phenomenal dancer, Bobby Dickerson of USA and Arvin, and strut their Salsa moves on stage together. To date, he is consistently scouting for and training new Malaysian talents, building up and exposing them in performing, competing or teaching the South American dances.
