PictureJaxen first picked up salsa in 2002 and in 2004, he progressed his knowledge on salsa under Dance Spirit Co. It was in 2004 that he clinched the 1st runner-up title of the Harian Metro Goes Salsa Competition with his then partner, Jeamie of Salsajay.

Jaxen’s passion for salsa clinched him a few titles a year later where and his biggest achievement was in 2005 when he and his partner, Michelle became the Malaysian Salsa Champion of 2005.

In 2006, he and his salsa sister Shantie set up Rhythm Identity: Salsa and Bachata Dance School.

As he grew his salsa love, so too did he grow his love for bachata. Jaxen is fondly known as the Bachata King in Malaysia.
In 2009, Jaxen and his partner Cecilia brought into Malaysia the dance known as Zouk.
Jaxen is poised to show the world that salsa, bachata and now zouk is a part of the Malaysian culture!

Cecilia started on her dance journey by being the partner of Rhythm Identity's lead instructor Jaxen. Though she had no prior dance experience, her talent and ability quickly led her to helping out as instructor in Rhythm Identity's classes.

She went up the ladder of advancement fast and was quickly seen to be performing in international events. Her natural ability and instinct for bachata and especially zouk made her one of Malaysia's top bachata and zouk dancer. From teaching as an assistant in Rhythm Identity's classes, she was now on her way to teach and perform in international festivals and congresses around the Asian region.
